Create a simple analytics signal for AI agents.

Static websites cannot force AI-only usage, but they can publish agent-oriented pages and signal URLs that may appear in analytics when fetched.

No signal generated yet.

If an automated system opens the generated URL, the visit may show in analytics or hosting logs, depending on what the agent actually fetches and executes. Some AI systems will not execute analytics scripts.

A PRACTICAL EXPERIMENT

AI Agent Check-In & Visit Signal

This tool is intentionally transparent about its limits. On a static website, you cannot reliably restrict a page so that only AI agents can use it. You can, however, publish agent-oriented URLs and machine-readable instructions that make it easier to recognise agent traffic when those systems choose to fetch them.

We also add a short note to llms.txt and can reference this page from agent-facing content. The result is an experiment in observability, not a guaranteed analytics solution.

Frequently asked questions.

Can this guarantee agent analytics?

No. It only creates clean query-string signals and machine-readable notes. Actual visibility depends on how the agent fetches pages and whether analytics scripts run.

Why not make it AI-only?

Static HTML hosting has no reliable server-side access control or user-agent enforcement. Any visitor can technically open the page.

Where should I link to the generated URL?

From llms.txt, documentation, prompts or pages designed for automated assistants.
